Why you need to periodically clean gas column? ↑

The difficulty is that not everyone knows exactly how to carry out the necessary manipulations.
Most often, to clean the column call a specialist, but it is not necessarily. Enough to know some nuances, not to neglect safety and the entire procedure it is possible to clean.
How to understand that it’s time for a cleaning? ↑
Experts recommend to carry out preventive inspection of the column at least once a year. But that does not mean you have to ignore obvious signs of contamination. The main «tips» include:
- Frequent tripping of the thermal sensors (this is due to the fact that the scale layer prevents the cooling column).
- The liquid circulates poorly (bands forgotten by scale).
- When outwardly normal operation, heating of the water takes much longer.
- After a few minutes of work, the column is disabled (or not enabled).

Before working, you need to prepare the following items:
- spanners of different sizes (8 to 22),
- flat and curved screwdriver,
- a brush (preferably a metal),
- wire (suitable copper or aluminum),

The cleaning of the water intake site ↑
The column element is very important for the normal operation of the gas column. It is the recipient «answers» for the purity of water supplied. Its nozzle has a special filter that prevents the ingress to the heat exchanger products, scale and corrosion. Also to the receiving node is the membrane provides an automatic flow of gas at the time of termination of the water supply.
First, you need to separate the intake node of the body column, it will greatly facilitate all subsequent work. Then by using a screwdriver to Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the housing cover (the whole fixture, it is better to put aside, to the Assembly not to lose anything).
Further, the filter is cleaned of all particles. It can simply be rinsed with water, usually this is enough.

Cleaning of the heat exchange element ↑
This procedure is a bit more complicated than the removal of dirt from the water intake site. All actions can be put in four stages:
First you need to disconnect the pipes, through which water enters and exits.
Very often the fasteners on the pipes is covered with scum. To make it easier to Unscrew the nuts that can cause joints universal fluid WD–40. After a few minutes, when the scum is neutralized, you can safely remove the nuts with keys.
After that, the heat exchange element to pour a liquid descaler.
Among folk remedies is best demonstrated citric acid solution. First- it is safe, and secondly- quite inexpensive. Ratio: 1 liter water 200 grams acid.
Pour the solution needs to be hold within a few hours (better overnight).
Heat exchanger housing also need to be cleaned. The recommended vinegar (9%) diluted in water (proportion 1:3). In any case, do not use hydrochloric acid. It reacts with metal, causing additional oxidation products.
When it will take several hours, citric acid solution can be drained.
After washing, you can install the nozzles.
We have mentioned that all the work can be performed independently. This is true, but never disassemble the gas hub column. It can only be cleaned.
The process of cleaning the gas parts of a Deposit is not very complicated, you will need the prepared wire. In the holes of the nozzles is promoted wire, thereby removing all the dirt and grime. When this operation is completed, it is important to check the column for possible gas leakage. Here applies the same principle, which is valid when searching for puncture on the wheel: a soap solution applied to all joints and the absence/presence of bubbles will show if there is a leak. In that case, if you notice bubbles, you need to call the gas company and call a professional!
All these actions will help to maintain the health of the gas column. But in order for such procedures have had to spend as little as possible, do not forget about prevention! The most that can be done is to try to reduce the hardness of water. There are two ways to make water softness:
- The use of special electromachinery. Such a device is placed to the inlet hole and halve the hardness of the water supplied.
- The use of quality filters. This will reduce the build up of limescale, but will allow less to disassemble and clean out the entire column.
